At our downtown Traverse City tasting room, we offer the option to host meetings, events or parties held either in our events space or the entire location. Check out the details below for more information on how to book your next event with us!

The Grand Traverse Distillery Tasting Room in Traverse City is an excellent location for a wide range of events with the option of reserving spaces for up to 48 in our back room, or 145 people for the entire tasting room. Located in the historic Kresge Building on Front Street in the heart of downtown Traverse City, the tasting room provides a unique venue for a variety of parties, receptions, and special occasions. Capacity: Large events up to 145 guests (entire venue); small events up to 48 guests (back room).


Rental Hours: 10 AM - 12 AM, seven days a week; variations available upon request.


Rental Rates: Rental rates vary depending on the space rented, season, and day of the week.

The back room can accommodate small events of up to 45 people. The whole venue can provide larger events of up to 145 guests. Peak season is from June 1st to December 31st and off-peak season is from January 1st to May 31st. Please refer to the following chart for rate information.

Event Staffing: $15.00 per hour per employee; the number of employees will vary depending on the type of event and services required.

Beverage Service: Grand Traverse Distillery will supply all beverages. We carry OUR SPIRITS, (whiskey, vodka, gin, rum), Brengman Brothers wines, Shady Lane Wines and Bee Well cider and mead. These will be offered in the form of a cash bar or contracted as part of the event rate on an individual basis. A cash bar discount will be available for all events. No outside alcohol is allowed!


Free of Charge:

  • Audio Visual equipment with a screen

  • On-site manager

  • Set-up and take-down services

  • Cleaning



  • No glitter, confetti, rice, birdseed, feathers, bubbles (nothing to be tossed in the air)

  • No nails, tape, glue

  • There is no smoking inside or outside of Grand Traverse Distillery


Confirmation of Reservation: Signed Rental Contract with a deposit of 25% of the rental fee is required to reserve the space. The balance of the rental, along with a damage deposit of $500.00 is due 30 days before the event. A cancellation less than 30 days before the event will result in the forfeit of the initial 25% deposit.


Payment Procedures: 25% deposit required with signed contract to guarantee the reservation.

The balance of rental fee due 30 days before the event. Full refund of all deposits if the event is canceled at least 30 days in advance. 50% deposit is forfeited if cancellation is less than 30 days in advance of the event.
